The Journey

I was reflecting a little bit last night on the journey. Not the band…
I was thinking more about life.
I’m doing this B90X deal and reading through the Bible in 90 days and last night I landed at the end of Numbers. In Numbers 33 Moses records the Israelites journey through the wilderness.
It’s funny because it’s not the land they’re promised, yet God still commands Moses to record their steps.
There were some dark days in the wilderness…
The people often turned on Moses and his leadership.
It got me thinking how we as humans like to celebrate the destination or in this case the Promised Land and forget to celebrate the journey. Most of the time the journey from one point to another is the wilderness. Nothing exciting… challenges… struggles… pain… hoping for something better…
I wonder if recording the journey is more important that celebrating the Promised Land… Maybe there is more to learn on the way there…
